Does our Bentley Bentayga Hybrid suffer from anxiety?
Does our Bentley Bentayga suffer from anxiety? I’m starting to think so. Actually, given the light clavicle bruising I’ve suffered from how much the seatbelt pre-tensioners have gone off recently, I know so.
Its inner prang is partly down to ‘Safeguard Plus', part of the £6,480 Touring Spec. It’s one of the many onboard tech features (like the useless Night Vision) to improve safety by autonomously braking in the event of an unavoidable collision or putting the car in a brace position (simultaneously closing all of the windows, the sunroof, changing the seating positions, and tensioning the safety belts) if it thinks there’s an accident about to occur.
Shame it thinks every delivery moped going past you is an accident. And bollards are pedestrians. Luckily, on a recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales, there were neither of those two to worry about.
