You’ve probably heard of this lot. Founded in 1937, this German car giant has arguably done more to shape the make-up of our roads than any other manufacturer, in the shape of the Beetle, the Golf and a whole bunch of other genre-defining offerings. Also arguably invented the hot hatch with the Golf GTI in 1976 for good measure, too. Now hitting electric in a big way.
