Seat Tarraco review

Tarraco prices start at £29,155 for a 1.5 TSI 150 SE. For that you get seven seats, Apple/Android connectivity, DAB, safety pack, 17-inch alloys and metallic paint. SE Tech adds nav, 18s and tinted windows for an uplift of around £1,400.

The one you want to look at is the XCELLENCE model, which is the second highest trim, starting at £31,925. For that you get gizmos such as wireless phone charging, adaptive cruise, rear parking camera, powered tailgate, Alcantara upholstery and proper 19-inch alloys.

The Tarraco’s entry price is higher than the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq, which starts at £27,650, but that car quickly gets pricier than the Seat. Likewise the Spanish SUV is comparable with its arch rival from France, the Peugeot 5008, which ranges between £30,110 and £41,340 for its seven seats and Gallic flair.

If you were looking to lease a Tarraco you can expect to pay around £400 a month for an SE model with the 2.0-litre diesel engine, ranging to £540 for a top-spec Xcellence Lux complete with 2.0-litre petrol and DSG auto set-up.

There’s a plug-in hybrid version of the Tarraco arriving in the UK towards the end of 2021, which will be pegged at the top end of the Tarraco price brackets in Xcellence and FR trims, and will sadly sacrifice two seats to achieve its electric range of 30 miles and 50g/km official CO2 emissions.
