Renault Trafic review

Dacia fans will feel at home in the Trafic with the mix of hard-wearing materials and previous gen Renault parts. It all makes sense for a workhorse van though and there’s plenty of neat storage options (14 of them in fact) as well as a decent driving position. 

Base-spec Business trim brings an old school DAB radio with Bluetooth and an AUX input, whilst a basic 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard on Sport versions and optional with Business+. It may not be the most advanced infotainment system but it’s a huge step on from the standard radio and makes the Trafic a far nicer place to be. 

A rear parking camera is an option on all specs with the display either showing on the rear-view mirror or infotainment screen. Climate control is also an optional extra, although both of those come as standard on the Black Edition.

Only Sport and Black Edition models get cruise control, so if you’re doing motorway miles then Sport is the way to go. Prices start at £32,516 and the upgrades also include a leather steering wheel and slightly fancier upholstery. 

For a posher minibus, the Trafic Passenger’s additional Spaceclass trim includes extra USB ports and power sockets, plus chrome-look inserts and some cupholders. Luxury.
