McLaren Solus GT review
Buying
What should I be paying?
Too late, I’m afraid. Just 25 of these cars will be built and they’re all sold. The price was £2.75-million plus local taxes. That’s a million more than a Ford GT Mk IV, for example. It’s more than an Aston Martin Valkyrie, too. A car with the added advantage of being road legal. The AMR Pro version of the Valkyrie is similarly expensive and has over 1,100bhp. We’d bet the Aston Martin is faster over a lap.
However, regardless of whether it’s the fastest track-only hypercar (I guess the upcoming Ferrari 499P Modificata will blow everyone out of the water when it arrives), the Solus GT is clearly good enough value to command its asking price. So… what more could you want?
