What is it like on the inside?
In a word: connected. The multi-media display is a doddle to use, has an intuitive touchscreen interface, and talks to all the now obligatory lifestyle apps. It's also several generations on from the JLR tech seen in some of its other cars, itself big news. But otherwise, there’s nothing mind-blowing here, and while the XE’s cabin architecture is risk-averse, it’s well-made and generally soothing. The whole thing exudes a pleasing sense of mindfulness. We’ll take that over pointless gimmickry.
