Buying
What should I be paying?
Prices start from £39,495 in the UK, which is a hefty amount of money. The Civic hatch with exactly the same powertrain starts at just under £34k. Plus you can have a Qashqai e-POWER hybrid for £35,840 if you really want to.
On lease, you’re looking at a starting figure of £375 a month, on a four-year agreement with a £10k down payment and 10,000 yearly mileage allowance, through Honda’s own finance scheme.
What’s the difference between trims?
That entry price gets you the Elegance trim, which comes complete with 18-inch wheels, a 9.0-inch touchscreen and a smaller 7.0-inch digital dial display.
Above that is the slightly different looking Sport which starts from £41,095 but brings with it a more appealing grille and extra bits of bumper. It also adds sports pedals and ambient lighting inside, as well as wireless phone charging and a mix of leather and fabric trim.
Top of the range is the Advance model, which sets you back from £42,895. That gets full leather seats, diamond-cut alloys, a panoramic sunroof and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. It also gets a 6.0-inch head-up display and a 10.2-inch digital dial display. Techy.
At launch there will be five exterior colours, and just wait until you hear the names – Diamond Dust Pearl, Ruse Black Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Still Night Blue Pearl. Yikes.
What’s the best spec?
We reckon you want the Sport trim, which is the best looking of the bunch to our eyes. As previously mentioned you’re looking at a starting price of just over £41k, or £400 a month on the terms listed above.
