Audi Q8 e-tron (US) review
Buying
What should I be paying?
There are nearly three flavors to the Q8 e-tron. We say nearly because beyond the standard trim, the Sportback and the Sportback with Ultra package differs slightly with a no-cost option. It’s also worth mentioning that there’s an SQ8 e-tron with almost 500hp and three motors, which is a whole different beast.
The Q8 e-tron starts at $75,595 while the Sportback ups the price to $78,995. Both come with a slew of standard features like the virtual cockpit, ADAS, adaptive air suspension and loads more. Higher tiers of goodies throw in extras like a Bang & Olufsen sound system, dual pane acoustic glass, and a virtual 360-degree view for parking situations.
The Sportback’s Ultra package swaps the 20-inch wheels with all-weather rubber for 19s wearing summer tires. It also throws in the gloss black grille and matching bits for extra coolness.
If we were laying down cash, we’d give the Sportback a pass and go for the mid-level Premium Plus trim on the standard Q8 e-tron. It nets all the good stuff and the only big thing we’d miss out on are the digital matrix headlights that we can’t fully use, and the head-up display.
