Audi e-tron GT (US) review

It’s quite Audi-ish in that it’s very uniform and practical, splitting the difference between touchpad inputs and physical buttons while remaining functional. It’s been the brand’s way for a while and it’s refreshing to step into a cockpit that’s not as in-your-face as modern interfaces, though it has the byproduct of making the car feel dated.

When it comes to seating, the e-tron GT takes advantage of the space provided by the EV platform and so each seat feels roomy yet still secure. Rear passengers are given loads of space, too, but up front is still the best place to be.

You said it looks dated?

Compared to contemporary EVs, the e-tron GT’s interface does look a little… old. And while we’re at it, that’s a criticism you could levy at the exterior as well. Nevertheless, the 12.3-inch virtual cockpit is still a solid digital display that’s easy to decipher and use at a glance for navigation and immediate car data.

The 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen on the dash is a good compliment to that, not to mention the array of just enough physical buttons for the important stuff. We like how functional it is without constantly demanding your attention. And if that dates it a bit, so be it.
