Interior

What is it like on the inside?

Well, it’s an A3 cabin, and that’s fine by us, because the minimalist dashboard is as delightfully user-friendly as it is high-quality. There's still nothing to match the A3 in this sector, if feels suitably premium enough to justify the high list price.

The only changes are a power meter instead of a rev counter (you don’t even have to see the flashy power distribution graphs if you don’t want to), and a slight reduction in boot space on account of all those battery cells crammed in towards the rear of the Sportback. Still, there’s more space for passengers than conventional rivals like a Volvo V40 or Mercedes A-Class, which shows just how neatly integrated Audi’s futuristic new e-tron technology is.
