Pininfarina’s latest hybrid smartwatch is a nod to its Sintesi shooting brake concept
After vintage looks but smart technology? The £329 Sintesi ticks a fair few boxes
Remember the Pininfarina-designed ‘Sintesi’ from many moons ago? It was a sleek shooting brake concept that showcased its research into ‘liquid’ packaging, which focused on improving passenger interior space without compromising the car’s aerodynamic properties.
Well, now it’s back… sorta. This is the, erm, ‘Sintesi’ - Pininfarina’s second hybrid smartwatch collection. Apparently, there’s a link between the two because the watch previews a compactor module and a more refined case. No word on whether passenger legroom has been affected though.
The main features include a 316L-grade stainless steel case and bezel, complemented by a sapphire glass crystal and a choice of either leather or silicone straps. You can choose from up to four colour finishes too, including ‘Midnight Rose’ and ‘Sand Dune’.
It’s a classy-looking thing, but remember, this is a smartwatch. So you can monitor many things like heart rate, sleep patterns and menstrual cycles through a dedicated companion app available on both Android and IOS.
You can even track daily steps and calories burned to help optimise your workouts, so it does do its job as a modern timepiece despite the vintage appearance. Oh, and the water resistance depth is 50 metres.
The collection is now available for order with prices starting at £329. Or more if you want extra legroom. Maybe.
