Watch a Supra drift up a hill
Cast your mind back to early 2006 and you'll remember a very special event. No, not Chico's number one single, ‘It's Chico Time', but our Winter Olympics episode.
In this highly regimented and official sporting contest, there were many entertaining events all conforming to TG regulations: Suzuki Swifts doing ice hockey, a rocket-powered Mini ski-jump and even some speed skating. With a Jaguar XK.
It all took part in the Norwegian town of Lillehammer. Now, an avid TopGear.commeriser has just sent in this video of a modified Toyota Supra pulling a rather ambitious drift/hillclimb while mercilessly vaporising the rear tyres and depositing large volumes of smoke into the atmosphere.
It's shot in Lillehammer and the man behind the wheel of the 800bhp rear-drive leviathan is Kenneth Moen. Something to soothe your eager brow, no doubt, while Toyota finalises the FT-86 sportscar, said to be the successor to the Supra. Watch it below.
Thanks to TopGear.commer Espen Wilhelmsen for the vid
