Video: drifting the 862bhp Subaru Family Huckster with Travis Pastrana
Just a normal driving lesson in a sensible family wagon. Here’s what happened when Jethro Bovingdon met Travis Pastrana
"Err on the side of aggressive..." This is the Travis Pastrana life motto. He is not what you'd call a typical driving instructor. And his 1983 Subaru GL wagon isn't your typical driving instructor's car. The 'Family Huckster' is powered by an 862bhp flat-four boxer engine. It gets active aero, a six-speed sequential box and runs four bar of boost. It doesn't come with dual control pedals.
Enter TG's Jethro Bovingdon. Jethro knows a thing or two about skids, but can he pull off a reverse entry drift with the pressure of Travis in the passenger seat? "Just turn left to go right..." Sounds easy, right?
