This is Bloodhound SSC in kit form
If you've ever had a self-build kit for a model or remote control car, you're probably familiar with the feeling of slight bewilderment as you unpack the box and look at the components awaiting construction.
The makers of Bloodhound, though - the British project aiming for 1,000mph, and therefore a land speed record - have taken that moment to the nth degree in their latest video, above.
All the bits that will come together in Bloodhound's Bristol base ahead of test runs this summer are laid bare on the shop floor.
Highlights? The Rolls-Royce jet engine you'll find in a Eurofighter Typhoon, space launch-spec Nammo rockets and a 550bhp supercharged Jaguar V8.
Placed in an F-Type, the latter's good for 186mph and 0-60mph in a touch over four seconds. In the Bloodhound, all its might is dedicated to pumping oxidiser into a rocket.
The steering wheel is 3D printed, while a bespoke Rolex speedometer reads all the way to 1,100mph. You can have a glimpse inside what ought to be the fastest cockpit on the land here.
