Video: Russian biker skills

Published: 10 Nov 2011

We've just got a new long term Audi A6 Avant in the Top Gear Garage equipped with the latest hands-free boot opening technology. In theory, this means that you can carry really big boxes with two hands then give a gracefully sharp kick under the rear bumper and the boot will miraculously open.

In reality, there's a bit of a knack to doing it. For the first couple of attempts you look like a wally as you aimlessly waggle and stamp your foot under the rear of your car. This leads to curious looks in the supermarket car park as the rest of society thinks you are kicking an imaginary person to death under your car.

Luddites argue that you should just use your hands to open and close tailgates. This man doesn't. He uses his motorbike.
