Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo 4
Gran Turismo lovers, this one’s for you: a yellow flake Nissan 350Z. 176 were made to commemorate the release of Kazunori’s fourth main series instalment, and less than half were painted in yellow flake. Be nice, and it’s almost certain you’ll bag it for under budget.

Or, if you want something even rarer and yellower, here’s a second-gen Clio ‘182’. This rorty hot hatch has become something of a modern classic these days, providing huge thrills and wholesome looks for not much cost. It also likes to get one hind leg up once you've riled it up enough too.
Peugeot 106 Rallye
Worth flexing the rules for, we reckon. This little Pug may have close to 100,000 miles to its name, and it may be two grand over budget, but just look at it. Better still, it’s got its festive jacket on already: white steelies, red paint and multicoloured go-faster decals. Fabulous thing.

Abarth often takes ‘limited-edition’ to mean thousands of examples, but it qualifies nevertheless. Built to celebrate the marque’s 70th anniversary, the fact that so many exist mean you can pick them up for fair amounts nowadays. Here’s a fancier than normal one with a painted front grille.
Volkswagen Polo Harlequin
Nothing to do with the Joker’s girlfriend. It’s actually a commemoration of a Sixties Beetle ad which showcased the ease with which parts could be replaced - hence the multicoloured panels. Here’s one for less than half the budget… in Germany. Road trip excuse?
Skoda Felicia Fun
Imagine the adventures you could go on in this Skoda Felicia ‘Fun’ - a proper multipurpose bargain. Just over 4,000 were built, and for some perspective of just how rare that is, Ferrari only made around 500 fewer 488 Pistas. Yes, we just compared a strange Skoda to an unplugged supercar. No, we don’t regret it.
Fiat Panda 100HP
Gloating about giving a model 100hp may seem odd, but the gutsy Panda has won the hearts of many because it’s never too serious and still does its job as a daily. Here’s one for just £2,800 - or about 85 times less than a McLaren 750S, which isn’t 85 times more powerful. Wait, we just did it again…
