Okay, we’re starting with a bit of a project, but it turns out it is still possible to get a shark-nosed 635CSi for under £10,000. The one we found here is an extremely late 1989 car that’s up for £7,999. It’s an automatic and needs some love, but the E24 really was a stunner, wasn’t it?

Speaking of stunning, check this out. We found a pre-facelift 3200 GT for sale complete with boomerang rear lights, a cream leather interior and an excellent set of BBS wheels. It’s a manual too, so all the better for enjoying that twin-turbo 3.2-litre V8.

  • Porsche 928

Want your V8 to be a little more… German? Turns out you can still get a Porsche 928 for £10k. Well, this one is up for £10,995, but it’s close enough. And wait, because the one we found for sale this week is actually a 928 S2 with the 4.7-litre engine.

Here’s a curveball for you if you don’t mind standing out from the classic car crowd. It’s a 1992 Mazda MX-6 that has recently been imported from Japan and is up for sale for £9,999. The MX-6 was a sister car to the Ford Probe, but Mazda offered optional four-wheel steering in some markets and the car we’ve picked out has it. It’s also got the 2.5-litre V6 and under 23,000 miles on the clock.

  • Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo

Designed by one Chris Bangle before his time at BMW and built by Pininfarina, the Fiat Coupe and its slashed arches scream of the 1990s. Prices are beginning to creep up now too, and you’ll need to get haggling to get this stunner within budget. It’s up for £11,995, but it is the 20V Turbo variant of the inline-five engine, and it’s had a little tweak to take power up to 260bhp.

  • Audi Coupe GT

You’re not going to get a Ur-Quattro for this kind of money, but if you can go without the boxy arches and all-wheel drive then you can have a five-cylinder Audi Coupe in GT trim for a whole lot less. We found one with just 53,000 miles on the clock, although the ad does state that a small amount of welding is required.
