Vauxhall Corsa news - Vaux pop - 2009

Published: 16 Jul 2009

Oh dear, someone's ruined a Vauxhall Corsa. But don't worry, it's all in the name of art! Yep, these childlike squiggles are the work of Kate Moross, who we're told is a Big Deal in the art world.

She's taken her crayons to the Corsa to promote Vauxhall's roller disco party later this year, for which the firm has also created an appalling pair of Corsa-themed skates. Sophie Ellis Bextor will be heading up the celeb-filled party, which will presumably be full of discoballs and failed extras from Starlight Express.

The car has a specially chosen colour scheme to match the party's set, based on the rainbow spectrum and 'sci-fi imagery'. Hmmm.

That's the re-sale value screwed, then. Except it isn't, as the car was wrapped in vinyl first, like a 1970s kitchen. You didn't think cash-strapped GM would sacrifice a whole car for a few doodles, did you?

Now take a look at another horrible art car.
