Americans, here’s your first look at the Chevrolet Blazer EV
Chevrolet releases a first image of the new Blazer in full-fat SS performance trim
The current Chevrolet Blazer is an angry-faced crossover SUV thing sold in the US and a few other markets around the world. And lo, it now looks like the upcoming Chevrolet Blazer EV will be another angry-faced (although potentially slightly longer) crossover SUV for the Americas.
The image above is our first look at the new Blazer, with this one using Chevy’s SS (Super Sport) performance badging. Should be rather rapid then. We won’t have any figures for a few weeks yet, but we do know that the Blazer EV will use GM’s Ultium platform and that it’ll join the $30,000 Equinox in Chevrolet’s electric lineup.
Apparently the Blazer will be available from Spring 2023, with Chevrolet saying it has been developed “from the ground up” and that it’ll offer a mix of “style, performance and technology". Yeah, gotcha.
More as we have it.
