Toyota Hilux Sport Concept news - Lofty conversion - 2007
So far, Toyota's Hilux has proved to be indestructible, and God knows we've tried at TG.
But now the firm has decided to make our job a little easier by producing the vehicle even faster.
The one-off Hilux Sport Concept has been built for the Commercial Vehicle Show, so it's a kind of concept car for builders and plumbers.
To help them get to their next job in a jiffy, or vanish in an instant when the mains water starts sprouting from the living room floor, Toyota has equipped the Hilux Sport Concept with a 200bhp version of the 3.0-litre turbodiesel.
Not only that, the company has also tricked it out with 22-in alloy wheels, chrome and tinted glass.
Should Toyota ever make this car a reality, the chances are that only the most extortionate builders and plumbers will be able to afford it.
