So far Top Gear Tunnel Run has seen an Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 and V16-engined BMR P15 make some glorious noises at full chat with the Stig at the wheel. Now it’s the turn of… the Lamborghini Huracan.

But not just any old Huracan. No, this is the hardcore STO version of Lambo’s already quite madcap supercar, complete with track necessities such as magnesium wheels, much carbon fibre and, um, carbon floor mats. It’s also… very purple/pink.

Oh, and the aero has been levelled up so that it produces 53 per cent more downforce while also being 37 per cent slippier than the base car. Make it make sense.

The engine - Lamborghini’s 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 - has been left well alone, but it still chucks out 631bhp and (as we’re about to discover) still makes an ungodly noise when floored on what is essentially an enclosed runway.

Without further ado, it’s time to lock that rear wing into its lowest downforce setting and cue the music. Stig, it’s all yours.

Car: Lamborghini Huracán STO
Engine: 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10
