The new Top Gear mag is here, with a FREE 2016 supercar calendar!

New issue features Ferrari F12tdf, Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster and more...

Published: 02 Dec 2015

In the new January issue of Top Gear magazine, we get to grips with what might be the scariest car of this year: the Ferrari F12tdf.

With a 770bhp naturally aspirated V12, four-wheel steer and some very trick aero, it's arguably the most extreme front-engined Ferrari ever created. We sent Jason Barlow to get close to the edge in the F12 that pushes physics to the very limit.

The new Top Gear magazine comes with a FREE supercars 2016 calendar , featuring the Jaguar C-X75, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Bentley Speed Six and more. On sale now in all supermarkets and newsagents

We see if the good times are heading back to France, testing the new 494bhp Peugeot 308 R Hybrid and Renault’s track-only R.S. 01. Then go back in time to drive two French heroes, the Peugeot 205 GTi and Renault Clio Williams. Can the new boys can compare with the old performance icons.

What happens when the world’s most visceral supercar loses its roof? Pure evil, that’s what. We head for the desert and kick up some serious dust in the 217mph Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster.

Also this month, we visit South Korea and discover Hyundai does a lot more than just build cars. The behemoth employ 600,000 people, owns the planet’s largest steelworks, and builds bridges, motorways, seawalls, dams and more. Although we went to drive the new Tucson, we discovered there’s far more to South Korea than meets the eye…

Elsewhere, Paul Horrell interview the new CEO of Honda, Takahiro Hachigo – the man with the power of dreams, but will there be product to match the invention? We drive the new NSX super-hybrid to find out.

Hydrogen fuel has an explosive reputation, so to prove it’s safe we get scientific, the only way TopGear knows how: take one Toyota Mirai, a bonfire and large firework display… and stand well back.

In this month’s news, we find out if the Fiat 124 Spider can really take on the Mazda MX-5, have a first look at the Mazda RX-Vision concept and Range Rover Evoque Convertible, investigate if autonomous cars are really about to take over the world and visit SEMA, the Las Vegas trade show for outlandish tuning companies.

Plus, we drive all the new cars that matter, including a Ford Focus vs Vauxhall Astra head-to-head, the Bentley Bentayga, Nissan Navara, Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, Volvo XC90, Infiniti Q30 and Audi S8 Plus.
