Toyota GR HV Sports
A hybrid sports car based on the Toyota GT86, with an automatic gearbox that comes with a regular, H-pattern manual knob. Oh, and it'll apparently do almighty skids. This Gazoo Racing concept is our kind of hybrid.

Last one from Toyota (for now). In time for the 2020 Olympics, Toyota will launch a new ‘taxi icon’ to take on London’s black cab. It gets an LPG-hybrid powertrain, sliding rear doors for easy access and new safety tech including curtain airbags and drunk-proof LED seatbelts.

Mitsubishi Electric – the Mitsubishi sub brand that specialises in, you guessed it, electric stuff – has come up with a concept car. The result is this Emirai 4 bobsled-like design with technology that knows when to take over control of the nominal things like driving.
It also gets Human-Machine Interface software with augmented reality and a ‘Knob-On’ display to control things by a touchscreen interface. Yep, really.

Nissan Leaf Nismo
Time for Nissan’s electric branch to get the performance treatment? It’s looking so. This Leaf Nismo is just a concept for now and looks much like the standard model, but gets some edgy design tweaks and - perhaps - upgraded power over the current 147bhp.

Zagato Vision Gran Turismo
A bespoke chassis, a Corvette 6.2-litre V8 and 1,000bhp make this one hell of a supercar. Designed by Zagato, this Gran Turismo concept will only grace the pixelated pit lanes but could hint at exciting things from the brand.

Signalling another change in Mazda design language, the Vision Coupe takes on thin lines and minimal shaping to focus on the perfect proportions.
