The 2019 Awards edition of TG magazine is out now

Yep, it’s that time of year again. So, take a moment out of your hectic Christmas shopping calendar (or do we what do, and just buy for the whole family from one online shopping site) and settle down to ingest the great and the good of the motoring world in 2019. That’s right – it’s the Top Gear Awards.

This month’s TG magazine features all of the worthy winners including our City Car of the Year, Game Changer of the Year and Family Car of the Year, as well as Luxury Car of the Year, Off-Roader of the Year and of course, TG’s People of the Year.

There are many more besides, and then there’s the big one – Car of the Year 2019. Some big names have won this in recent years (in fact, you can see a load of them by clicking these blue words) but who will scoop the prize this time around? Grab a copy to find out, and to hear our reasons why. 

But that’s not all. As ever, we bring you a whole host of new car reviews. This month we’ve been behind the wheel of the Alpine A110S, the VW T-Roc R and the Audi S8 to name but a few. Plus, there’s a three-car group test to find the ultimate family wagon. The contenders? The BMW 320d xDrive Touring, the Land Rover Discovery Sport P200 AWD and the Audi A4 Allroad 40 TDI.

Then there’s the Retro section, which this month features a beguiling but heartbreaking look at a Japanese car graveyard, and we try to sort the handling on our Peugeot 306 Rallye youngtimer.
