Oh no! Even Top Trumps has been bitten by the SUV bug

Not a fan of SUVs? We’d suggest looking away now, because they’re now so popular they’ve got their own Top Trumps pack. Yep, the worldwide obsession doesn’t look like it’s going away any time soon.

The Top Trumps: 4x4 Ultimate Collection apparently includes everything from the Willys MB to the Tesla Cybertruck, the GMC Hummer EV, the Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition and… the Nissan Qashqai. So yeah, it’s pickups and SUVs and crossovers all mixed in together, but still a pretty big departure from the usual supercar and hypercar card game fodder. 

Oh, and as opposed to practical SUV stats such as towing capacity, kerbweight and luggage capacity, apparently the 4x4 Ultimate Collection categories include production year, horsepower, 0-60mph time, top speed and rarity. Because of course. Presumably the Cybertruck will win every time if that final category is picked, although that could finally change when first deliveries finally start taking place at the end of November.
