Time is running out to buy a Bugatti Chiron
Fewer than 100 of the 500 Chirons Bugatti will build are still up for grabs
If you’ve spent the four years since the Bugatti Chiron was revealed down the back of your sofa, desperately hunting for the £2.5million needed to actually buy one, we have good news – you’ve got a bit more time.
Bugatti says the Chiron will remain in production until the end of 2021, by which time all 500 cars will have been built. That’s the plan, anyway – Bugatti is still accepting orders for new-build Chirons as just shy of 100 cars are still without owners. So if you’re on the fence, you still have a bit of time, but best get your order in sharpish.
There are, of course, many other cars you could buy for your £2.5million. A Pagani or Koenigsegg, for example (or a new Dacia Sandero for every day of the year). Or one of these new-fangled electric hypercars, which promise Chiron-like speed without the emissions.
But if all you’re worried about is emissions, know this: this year Bugatti will “retroactively make its locations worldwide and the kilometres driven by Bugatti vehicles CO2-neutral from 2018”. In other words, all miles driven by Chirons since 2018 will be carbon offset. Certainly a step in the right direction.
Fancy a Chiron? And if so, how would you spec yours?
