Take your Lego track days seriously with this McLaren Senna GTR

McLaren’s most extreme track car gets the plastic brick treatment. Looks better than the real thing

Published: 19 Nov 2020

The real-life, full-size McLaren Senna GTR is all about numbers. £1.1million plus tax. 1,000kg of downforce at 155mph. 825bhp. 205mph flat out. And, only 75 examples to be produced, which you’re probably too late for.

So, how about these numbers instead? 830 pieces. 1 hand-power. Thousands being produced, and forty-five quid a pop. The Lego Technic McLaren Senna GTR sounds a bit more in our price bracket.

Not only that, but far from being barred from all motorsport categories and illegal to drive on the road, you can use the Lego Senna GTR flat out everywhere. The living room, the stairs, in the bathtub if you choose.

Lego’s shrunken version of the ultimate Senna has a ‘working’ V8 engine, butterfly doors and a steering wheel on the roof, so you can hit those apexes as you push it across the floor. You haven’t finished your Christmas list yet have you?
