The Bugatti Chiron Sport is testing at Paul Ricard
A sunny race circuit and some 1,500bhp hypercars. What more do you need?
You’ll be aware of the Bugatti Chiron. A hypercar with around 1,500bhp, a 2.4sec 0-62mph time and a top speed that – in due course – may brush 300mph.
Sporty enough, you’d think. But you’d think incorrectly. Coming soon is the Chiron Sport, seen here undergoing a spot of testing at the Paul Ricard circuit in southern France.
The Sport doesn’t actually add any power – not that any was really needed – instead gaining slightly stiffer suspension, steering that’s a smidge more direct and an 18kg drop in weight, partly aided by carbon fibre windscreen wipers. Really.
All told, it should be sharper and more fun on a race track like Ricard. Just how much more fun we’ll hopefully find out soon.
