Ride with an 800bhp Gumpert Apollo

It took no less than the soothing chimes of Sir Elton John to calm Stig when we strapped him in the 700bhp Gumpert and switched him into the ‘on' position, many moons ago.

But exactly how does an 800bhp Apollo - sans Sir Elton - sound on a track?

Wonder no more. A chap called Marchettino has uploaded a video he filmed while sitting inside his friend's modified 800bhp Gumpert Apollo as it swings around Monza. The result is below.

Listen carefully, and you will hear the precise point a squirrel is swallowed up by the twin-turbo Audi-sourced 4.2-litre V8 as it accelerates. All we know is, we need new friends.
