New Lamborghini teased

Lamborghini is set to debut a brand new model at the upcoming Paris motor show, and it is this.

What ‘this' represents however, is a bit of a mystery. Sure, that chunk of solid carbon-fibre and sharp crease you see above can only come from a manufacturer who appeals to the 13 year-old teen in us all, but that's about it.

Lamborghini's own statement is similarly Spartan. "Lamborghini. Sound and light. Paris 2010. Discover the way to the future of supersports cars", they say.

Rumours are this new model will succeed the Murcielago - which has been around since 2001 - and might very well be called ‘Jota'.

Whatever it's called, and whatever it looks like, be sure of one thing: it will be awesome.

Lamborghini has a most excellent knack of hijacking motor shows with new models and with the Murci on its way out, this year promises to be an absolute firecracker.

In the meantime, ponder on what you reckon this new Lambo will be packing under the bonnet, and then remind yourself of the moment when Richard Hammond took the 670bhp Murcielago SV and showed it some sand...
