Ferrari F430 news - The final F430 - 2009

Published: 14 May 2009

The F430 will be replaced this autumn by Ferrari's all-new mid-engined V8 supercar.

This, though, is how Ferrari is sending off the F430 after five years of service. The last F430 to leave the production line will be this special two-tone edition, auctioned off to support the victims of last month's Abruzzo earthquake.

The gold-on-silver livery is inspired by the colours of L'Aquila, the city at the centre of the earthquake, and we reckon it works surprisingly well on the F430. Though those wheels are going to be a bugger to refurbish if you kerb 'em.

The final F430 will be put under the hammer by RM Auctions at Maranello on May 17, alongside that gorgeous Ferrari 330 P4 Le Mans racer. We're guessing it'll be a little more affordable...
