Dodge Viper news - Chrysler 300 to get V10? - 2010
What happens when you put a Viper engine into a Chrysler 300?
That's the ominous question posed by Dodge on its official YouTube channel, posted beneath a video containing images of a V10-nature.
The 300 in question is badged as a 'SRT-10', which is the moniker used on the 8.4-litre V10-engined Viper. That engine, don't forget, produces 600bhp of pure, unadulterated, weapons-grade lunacy. It sounds quite tasty, too.
Dodge hasn't revealed if this is a special edition, one-off or 'after-hours-plaything'. However, it will be fast. And quite lairy, probably. An 8.4-litre V10 in a pseudo-luxo-barge? The cheek!
