Caddy CTS-V coup’ gets angry
Caddy’s CTS-V coupe is a flawed little thing. Good, but flawed.
We’ve tested it in this month’s mag so grab the latest copy of TG to find out why, but suffice to say, its monster heart isn’t the problem. Oh no, sir, quite the opposite.
This glorious, thunderous, riotous 6.2-litre supercharged V8 – like the one in the ‘Vette ZR-1 – is a powerhouse of venom, churning out 556bhp and 561lb ft of torque. Ample power, you might think, for ruining tyres/wallets/undergarments.
But our friends at Hennessey beg to differ. They have extracted more, which as we have found out, is better.
And judging by the little dyno vid, More sounds slightly terrifying. Sure, we’ve sampled some interesting and funky electric cars recently, but nothing can yet equal the sheer majesty of internal combustion. Turn this one up loud…
