Smart confirms Brabus ForTwo is coming
Modified Smart is on its way, followed by non-Brabus, all-electric ForTwo
You knew it was coming, but now we have confirmation: Smart bigwigs have told TopGear.com that a quicker, Brabus version of the little ForTwo is coming.
Details at this stage are, naturally, a little thin on the ground, but we know it's set to use a modified version of the standard car's 0.9-litre turbo engine. No word on power, but hopefully it'll be north of 100bhp, considering the standard car makes a little under 90bhp.
The Brabus Smart will also feature special suspension and brakes, as well as a host of aesthetic mods. Expect a summer debut for the modified ForTwo.
Smart is also planning Brabus versions of the ForFour and ForTwo Cabrio, and also revealed to TG that we'll see an electric, non-Brabus ForTwo before the end of the year.
No word on price or performance just yet, but we'll keep you posted...
