This Skoda Kamiq has a vegan interior

Skoda is drip-feeding us news of the new mini-SUV

Try as hard as we might, we just can’t get that excited about the upcoming Skoda Kamiq. Set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, it will be the smallest of three SUVs offered by the Czech brand because we just can’t stop buying jacked-up city cars.

Despite our apathy here at TG, Skoda has been trying to build up some anticipation ahead of its early March reveal, and last week we brought you some designer’s sketches of the exterior.

This week, Skoda has released new details about the Kamiq’s interior along with a single photograph. Expect to see a news story here next week on the wheel nuts or the headlight bulbs at this rate.

Some interesting news from inside though – Skoda is offering an interior option that’s made from the vegan microfibre material Suedia. Pay attention then if you’re a cow and small SUV lover.

Elsewhere there’s a large central touchscreen, a massive 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit and an equally sizeable 400 litre boot, as well as all of the quality we’ve come to expect from Skoda over recent years.

So, what else can we talk about here? Hmm – the air vents at either side of the dash extend into the doors, that’s pretty cool…
