Saab 9-3 news - Saab raises the roof - 2006

Published: 05 Jan 2006

Saab is blowing its top to celebrate 20 years of building convertibles.

The Saab 9-3 Convertible Cerulean may be a bit of a mouthful, but it comes down to a unique blue metallic paint finish, one-off alloy wheel design, and leather seats with blue trim inserts.

The Cerulean special edition is available with the full range of engines, and prices start at £27,979 when the limited-edition model goes on sale at the end of February.

The first Saab soft-top, the 900 Convertible, went on sale in January 1986 as a limited run of 400 models for the US.

Its popularity prompted Saab to put the car into full production in 1987, and more than 240,000 Saab drop-tops have been sold since.
