As with so many gently ageing Brits, the Rover V8 is moving to the seaside in its autumn years.
Weston-Super-Mare in the south west of England is the new home for the 40-something Rover V8, but this is no slide into retirement gloom.
Engineering specialist MCT has taken on the manufacture of the engine and will be keeping hundreds of thousands of Rover V8-powered cars burbling away.
In the past, the Rover V8 has lurked under the bonnets of the Range Rover, Morgans, TVRs, and every shape, colour and abomination of one-offs.
