RM Auctions at Salon Prive: preview

In two weeks time, 57 cars will line up in London to be sold to some people with money. These cars are all British-built, the place is Syon Park (the Duke of Northumberland's London crib) and the place where these people meet is Salon Prive.

The exclusive supercar show will this year play host to RM Auctions' summer sale, and features a roll-call of machinery which was Made In Britain. We've picked out some of the highlights of the June 23 bazaar so you can begin auctioning off distant relatives or non-important body parts.

Heavy-handed Aston brute packed a 5.3-litre V8 with over 350bhp. This one's done 100,000 miles and is expected to go for £20,000 to £30,000. That's less than a BMW 1 Series M Coupe. Go on, do it.

A monster 7.2-litre Chrysler V8 sits underneath the Interceptor's bonnet. There are 330 ‘merican horses powering the drop-top, offered here in left-hand drive flavour and with a fresh UK MoT certificate. Will go for around £38,000 to £46,000.

Find around £100,000. Do it now. This fully-restored DB6 features a 4.0-litre straight six with 325bhp, a ‘comprehensive history file' and is one of just 1,321 DB6 Coupes ever built.

One of just 36 XK150 S Roadsters and comes complete in original, unrestored condition. That unrestored condition involves a 265bhp 3.8-litre straight-sixer, four-speed manual ‘box and leaf springs. Predicted to go for over £200,000.

Practise your best Sean Connery impression and start being less rubbish with women. Maybe sell some pets too. Set to sell for around £275,000, this Aston Martin DB5 has registered less than 20,000 miles and is one of the rarest cars on Earth. 4.0-litre straight-six produces 282bhp, if you're interested.

Top Gear drives Bond's DB5

Was the world's fastest saloon in its day. Would probably struggle against a medium-fast walker today. 4.5-litre straight-six develops 158bhp, and that heady power eventually found its way rear-ward via a four-speed auto box. Set to sell for over £400,000.

Pretty much a racing car in disguise: 2.0-litre four-pot produced 140bhp together with a close-ratio four-speed manual competition gearbox. Just one of 23 original 2.0-litre Speed models built and set to sell for upwards of £350,000.
