Best of Outtakes news - Best of Outtakes - 2008

Published: 21 Nov 2008

We were spoiled with a bunch of great outtakes this series - stuff you didn’t get to see from your sofa on a Sunday night - so we thought we’d give you this place from which you can watch all of those best bits...

OK, so the best bits are everything we had this series, but what did you expect? It’s all good!

So, first up, episode one gave us Jeremy falling off his truck while trying to do some donuts. It was inevitable, but the poor man did properly hurt himself rather a lot.

The second episode saw Jeremy, Richard and James taking to the US of A in some of the best muscle cars out there. This outtake sees them trying their hardest to get back to their factual roots. They don’t do too badly either.

And finally, episode three has given us some sublime footage of James interviewing motor racing legend Mika Hakkinen, and he actually manages to get the Finn to crack a smile.

Then there’s some spanner waggin’ with James trying to improve the power from a weird old Renault, which Jeremy and Richard really aren’t sympathetic too on the morning after. It would appear they had rather a heavy night without James in tow.

There’s some amusing stuff with Hammond and May discussing how best to get around the coast to Saint Tropez. And then, how best not to.

After May’s super boat excursion, he gets to grips with the Pagani Zonda F Roadster, and then takes a completely different tact by going out with Jeremy in some old Commie cars.

Talking of Clarkson, who can forget his car chase through the shopping mall? Or Hammond’s bendy bus racing?
