Porsche Panamera news - Pan's labyrinth - 2009

Published: 12 Feb 2009

At Top Gear, we like to bring you lots of inside information. So today, ladies and gentleman, here's some inside news on the Porsche Panamera. Literally.

Porsche has just released pictures of the car's cabin, which was previously unseen, so we thought we'd share them. Proper inside info, see.

First impressions are that things look a bit busy in there. Looks like Porsche has given almost everything a button. Want to turn up the radio? Press a button. Adjust the dampers? Press a button. Warm up your bum? Yep, press a button. Seems the engineers have shunned an iDrive-style interface to tidy things up, which is bad news for people with chubby fingers.

There's better news for tall people, though, because it looks roomy in the back. The centre console swoops all the way through the car, forming an armrest for all passengers. It also houses controls for the lanky ones in the back.

But our favourite touch has to be the ‘make my exhausts louder please' button. It's the little one positioned to the right of the gearlever that looks like a pair of binoculars. Remember it, press it, make your Porsche saloon as loud as possible, and to hell with the neighbours.

If they get angry, just offer them a lift - no one would turn down a ride in a V8-powered Porsche limo, would they?
