Photo of the day: a BMW M1 and a dog. Say no more
It’s national dog day. Really. This is the correct way to celebrate
Every day of the year marks at least one thing menial and ultimately pointless. Clam chowder day, anyone? National dog day, though, is something that must be celebrated.
We’re obliged to like cars more than dogs, of course. But the four-wheeled advantage is only distinct when the car is as good as a BMW M1. This, lest we forget, is the 277bhp supercar that launched the M Division and showcased pop-up headlights at their coolest.
But you can always improve on greatness, in this case by plonking a dog atop the M1's boot cover, thereby creating one of the weirder promotional shots in BMW's marketing history.
Happy national dog day, everyone!
