Fredric Aasbo slid his modified Supra to a Formula Drift world title
Your photo of the day is this Toyota Supra going gloriously sideways in California
Here's Fredric Aasbo, Papadakis Racing employee and denizen of drift circuits around the world a) living up to his surname (hi there, fellow Britons!), and b) doing his best to keep tyre manufacturers in business. Oh, and winning the 2021 Formula Drift world championship.
The 36-year old Norwegian drifter has scooped his second FD world title, joining a short but talented roster of individuals who have multi-titles. Individuals like Tanner Foust.
“The competition has stepped up tremendously since 2015 when I won my first title and this one was much harder fought," Aasbo said. "It took so much from everyone to keep up the charge all season and I have nothing but gratitude to my team, our partners and our families who make it possible for us to chase our dreams.”
