Nismo 370Z news - Double-Z - 2008

Published: 05 Nov 2008

Following last week’s official photographic unveiling of the 370Z – Nissan’s new V6 Z-car – it was only a matter of time before the performance versions started appearing.

This is, purportedly, the Nismo S-Tune 370Z, which has mysteriously found its way onto the interweb ahead of the stock 370Z’s formal covers-off at the Los Angeles show next week.

There’s no official word on whether this is, er, official, but we thought we’d show it to you anyhow. Mainly because it looks freakin’ awesome (sorry, we’re trapped in Stateside vernacular after an all-night election telly marathon) and because it’s always fun to speculate on just how powerful it might be.

Nismo has been responsible for a host of tuned-up 350Zs: the S-Tune version had a hike or around 10bhp over the stock 350Z, which’d mean something in the 350bhp area for the 370Z.

More interestingly, though, the later Type 380RS managed a jump of around 100bhp. So how does a 440bhp 370Z grab you? Quite roughly, we’d assume.

The S-Tune 370Z will naturally get a whole bunch of Nismo upgrades – suspension, brakes, and of course that unmissable, massive-arched bodykit. Too much, or spot on? You decide…
