Honda NSX GT3
Regular NSX not hardcore enough for you? This should do the trick. Rear-driven rather than 4WD, and petrol only, with no heavy hybrid gubbins. We’re hoping for a Le Mans return.

The 911 R has already had its moment of glory, at the Geneva show, but that doesn’t mean we’re not interested anymore. It just means we're getting even itchier to drive it.
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
All the fuss may be about the new, near-1,500bhp Chiron, but the Bugatti Veyron still looks as bruising as ever. This is it in world-beating Super Sport form.

In America, the new ‘Toyota 86’ steps in for the departing Scion FR-S. Back in Europe, we get the same car as a facelift for the GT86.
Toyots Prius Plug-in
If the standard Prius makes you want to tear your eyes out, this will hopefully stop you. The plug-in version is not only better for the environment, but your vision, too.
ETV
We first saw the Extra Terrestrial Vehicle - ETV for short - several years ago, dubbed the car of the future. Given our roads are not full to the brim of them (we’ve not seen any), that future is clearly still some time away.
AfterFX Customs Wrangler
Think the Defender has a burgeoning tuning scene in the UK? Try seeing the equivalent for the Jeep Wrangler in the US. This wouldn’t look out of place on the set of Jurassic Park.

And neither would this, an official Mercedes special possibly inspired by the German maker’s tie up with the film franchise’s most recent instalment. We’re really not sold on the fake mud, though.
BMW M4 GTS
Don’t worry, peeps. It’s really not long before we get behind the wheel of the new GTS. Compared to a normal M4, power is up, weight is down, and there’s a less-than-subtle rear wing atop the boot lid. We're sure it’ll also massacre tyres for fun.

Currently, you can only get the scalped R8 in a non-Plus version. Even so, that still means a 532bhp 5.2-litre V10, with Quattro four-wheel-drive helping hustle it from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds. Oh, and lots of glorious noise.
No. 44 Magnus Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3
However, if you want even more noise from your R8 but a roof over your head, we’d recommend this: the R8 LMS GT3. Stripped out to be the hardest of the hardcore, this actual car was racing at Sebring last weekend before having a quick spit shine and being shoved on the New York show stand.
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
The last in our line up of wonderfully angry faces is the new ZL1. Fighty, isn’t it? With the 640bhp/640lb ft 6.2-litre supercharged LT4 motor from the Corvette Z06 in the engine bay, it’s powerful too.
Mercedes-AMG E43
The E43 is the stopgap between your normal E-Class and the upcoming (possibly 600bhp) E63. Instead of an outrageously powered twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet, the 43 employs a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 (not, as the name might suggest, a 4.3-litre).
Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe ‘Edition 1’
Having made the new C63 DTM car, in order to celebrate its new toy, Mercedes didn’t bust out the kazoo and have an office party. Instead, it’s spun out a race car-inspired road car special of the C63 Coupe called the ‘Edition 1’. This is it.
Jeremy Scott Lexus RX
Jeremy Scott is a fashion designer from LA. In the past, Jeremy Scott has created costumes for many major popstrels including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Madonna and put a set of wings on the back of a Smart car. Now, to promote his new line, he’s wrapped ten Lexus SUVs in the prints from his fall collection.
Demi Lovato Honda Civic
It wasn’t just Lexus doing celeb collabos at New York. Honda also got in on the act by allowing Demi Lovato to decorate a Civic like it’s had an unfortunate road traffic accident with a Cadbury chocolate mousse.
Honda Civic Rallycross
Now here’s how to modify a Civic properly. This is Honda’s new rallycross car set to compete in the upcoming GRC championship. How’s 600bhp, four-wheel-drive and 0-60mph in 1.9 seconds for ya?
Chrysler Pacifica
Soccer moms, you’re new car has arrived! The new Chrysler Pacifica wants to prove that minivans are cool to the Vine generation. If it fails, we're sure they’ll still be used to ferry The Apprentice candidates around town.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe
Yup, it’s Merc’s BMW X4 rival, here sporting a range of diesel and petrol engines, along with the (for now at least) range-topping GLC 43 – the one with the 3.0-litre V6.
Clean, unfussy lines and a chassis architecture loosely based on the C-Class. What do we think, Internet?
Lincoln Navigator concept
It’s huge, and it’s got gullwing doors, and it’s got a 400bhp 3.5-litre V6. Do you need any more info? Also, side steps occur.
Outside of the hugeness and the concept doors and the concept side steps, this Navigator previews what next year’s production car will look like. What do you think, USA?
Koenigsegg Regera
You’ve already seen this car at Geneva, but here it is again, in all it’s hybrid, 1500bhp glory in New York. Promises to be a fantastic luxury hypercar, this, and as quick as a Bugatti Chiron, too…
Volvo S90
Yes, it's Volvo’s machine armed to take on the likes of the BMW 5-Series and Audi A6. And Mercedes-Benz E-Class, too. So no great pressure then. Good thing it looks, well, good.
Gets the same chassis, tech and design flair as the new XC90.
Buick Avista concept
We’ve seen it before, but no matter: this Avista concept, first unveiled in Detroit earlier in the year, is a fine thing to admire. With a 400bhp, rear-wheel-drive powertrain, it should be plenty entertaining, too.
Buick, press the green button on this please…
Dodge Viper ACR
The downforce-happy, 645bhp, 600lb ft Viper is a track-day special, but one you can drive on the road. If of course, you have a high pain threshold…
Mazda MX-5 Retractable Fastback
A hard-top MX-5 sporting a roof mechanism similar to what you find on a Porsche 911 Targa. Suspension and steering unchanged over the standard roadster, but it’s a wee bit heavier.
No matter when it looks this good. Final production version coming next year. This, or the roadster?
Koenigsegg Agera
Again, not a new Koenigsegg, but then the Agera doesn’t need an introduction. After all these years, still brutal.
Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet
Joining the saloon, coupe and estate comes the next inevitable iteration: the soft-top. C63 S gets the 510bhp biturbo V8, which is good for a 0-62mph time of 4.1s. Fast then, and with no roof and a specially tuned exhaust, all the better to hear that lovely noise…
Alfa Romeo Giulia
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in the month, the Giulia has now made its bow in the US. This ‘Quadrifoglio’ (four leaf clover) version delivers over 500bhp and does 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds. Lucky for some.
Cadillac ATS-V
Something for BMW to think about, despite it being 100kg heavier than the M4. Having said that, it is more powerful by a factor of 38bhp...
Cadillac XT5
More Cadillac v BMW fodder. A replacement for the SRX, the XT5 is powered by the same 3.6-litre V6 found in the ATS and CTS. That’s a lot of acronyms.
Lexus RC 500
Making its debut in America, this fine-looking Lexus comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, reportedly the first in this kind of car.
Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead
Production of the Phantom will end in 2016, but there’s still time to fawn over its convertible, V12 magnificence. A bargain for US consumers at $560,000.
Jaguar F-Type SVR
The fastest and most lairy of the F-Type clan, the SVR’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 chucks out 516lb ft of torque. Jaguar didn’t bring any new facts or figures to the Big Apple, so we’re assuming it’s identical to the European model.
Toyota NASCAR
This is Kyle Busch’s NASCAR racer. It has confectionary and stars on it. Ok then.
Kia Cadenza
The Cadenza hasn’t done very well in terms of sales, so Kia have upped their game. A bit. The styling has been tweaked, the gearbox should be sharper and the interior contains lots of leather. Will it make a difference? Your guess is as good as ours...
Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid
Entering showrooms in 2017, Hyundai have killed three birds with one stone by producing a car that comes in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric form. It’s neat, although it loses points for spelling ‘ionic’ with a ‘q’.
Ford Focus RS
We took it for a quick lap of western Europe a few weeks ago, now the RS is in the States. It’s a fine car, but it didn’t make as many waves as...
Ford GT
... the Ford GT. TG had a sneak peek around the new car’s birthplace earlier in the year, and the attention to detail was impressive to say the least. The road car will have more power than the model racing at Le Mans later in 2016. Really.
C10-gen Nissan Skyline GT-R
The first Skyline to bear the famous badge, but in its own way, just as brutal-looking. You get the feeling this 2.0-litre, 160bhp old-timer is rather proud of how the family have grown up…
C110-gen Nissan Skyline GT-R
Real unicorn, this. Thanks to the 1973 oil crisis, just 197 examples of the second-gen Skyline GT-R were sold, all in Japan. Good to see it getting some time in the limelight at the New York show.
R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R
Here’s the car that set the template for the modern GT-R. Variable all-wheel drive, 310bhp once the factory’s 276bhp limiter was junked, and many, many gauges. A grey box that’d terrify a Ferrari, in the late Eighties.
R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R
You can see the familiar GT-R cues starting to really bed in now. The legendary RB26 engine is present with its nod-nod-wink-wink 276bhp, and was enough to see this model of GT-R become the first production car to lap the Nürburgring in less than eight minutes.
R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec
A bona-fide Gran Turismo hero. Well, possibly not this one, because it’s a more comfort-orientated M-Spec car featuring more compliant suspension and heated seats. Not ideal for a time attack on Trial Mountain.
R35 Nissan GT-R Nismo Time Attack
Seven minutes, eight seconds. Four words that encapsulate what this most extreme R35-gen GT-R to date was built to do – lap the Nürburgring as fast as technology, aerodynamics and sheer brass knackers will allow.
2016 Nissan GT-R R35
Sharper new bodywork, a power boost to 562bhp, and at last an interior that means GT-R fans won’t have to get in blindfolded to avoid feeling nauseous at the sight off all that plastic. The GT-R is ten years old and still going strong. Time to go baiting Porsches.
