New car chase clip from Die Hard 5

Published: 01 Feb 2013

We're nothing if not generous here on TopGear.com. Earlier this week, we posted an exclusive little video clip from the upcoming Bruce Willis movie, A Good Day to Die Hard. You watched it in your droves.

Proof then, of our contention that Die Hard remains the finest action film ever. And as a little treat, we've got our hands on some more car-chase mayhem from A Good Day to Die Hard, showcasing more of John McLane's unique negotiating skills, and propensity for carnage.

If you watched the first clip we posted - which you can watch again below - you'll know that McLane commandeers a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, and does his best to tear up the streets of Russia in the only way he knows: by taking on something that looks like a supercharged tank. Clearly, this scene exists purely to let the car lovers in the audience get a knowing nod to the G-Wagen's military heritage; it's got nothing at all to do with the fact that the boxy Benz on full attack mode looks lightly awesome. No sir.

The film is out in a couple of weeks, and judging by the vehicular mayhem we've already seen, it looks like a good ‘un. Reckon Willis can reclaim the form he showed us all in the original Die Hard? If successful, perhaps we could see a sixth Die Hard film featuring the Mercedes-Benz Ener-G Force concept we saw last year. Just imagine the carnage...
