Watch the new trailer for Turbo!

Published: 30 May 2013

Ryan Reynolds isn't the fastest man to lap the Top Gear test track. No, that honour lies with his Hollywood compatriot Matt Le Blanc. That's right, Joey from Friends is quicker than the ruddy Green Lantern.

Still, he is quick. He's faster than Tom Cruise, and currently sits seventh in our overall celebrity lap leaderboard. Why are we telling you this? Because he's fast enough to voice the lead character in the upcoming movie Turbo, which looks about the most adorable animated movie involving cars you will see yet.

We've shown you the monster 700bhp Chevy Camaro and some early footage, but here's a new trailer with more stuff to feast upon. Turbo follows Ryan's plucky young snail as he attempts to fulfill his lifelong ambition of becoming a racer. But he's a snail, you cry!

Facing an existentialist crisis (for if he is not a racer, what is he?) one night, he gets sucked up into that Camaro's NOS tanks, gets sprayed with lots of Fast and sets off on a path to race in the Indy 500. Yeah, it happens, OK?

Have a watch of the trailer below; we defy you not to coo at the screen in a cacophony of ‘awww'. Chief support comes from the Big Man Samuel L Jackson, Paul Giamatti, Michelle Rodriguez (of Fast & Furious fame) and the one and only Snoop Dogg (look out for his hilarious bit at the end of the trailer).

What do you think, fellow car types?
