Watch bikers go mad in new Point Break film

Go behind-the-scenes on upcoming movie remake’s astonishing bike scenes

Published: 24 Nov 2015

A remake of the cult 1991 movie Point Break is being filmed and – bad news first – it won’t feature Keanu Reeves. This had made Top Gear very sad.

However, it will feature a rather astonishing motocross sequence shot in Utah. This had made Top Gear very happy.

The new film, which will hit your local movie theatre on 12 February 2016, broadly mirrors the premise of the original, 1991 film. It follows Luke Bracey’s not-Keanu-Reeves FBI agent Johnny Utah, as he infiltrates a gang of criminals who engage in adrenaline-filled stunts.

One of which includes riding motocross bikes where it doesn’t look like you should be riding motocross bikes. This sequence, shot in Swingarm City, Utah – the “holy grail of American motocross riding” – includes professional bikist Steve Haughelstine.

Watch out for the nifty camerawork, and the massive jump at the end.
