Official: Fast & Furious 7 in 2014
Vin Diesel and his Fast & Furious cohorts took to a Las Vegas stage this week to announce the release date of Fast & Furious 7. Wait, what?
Fast & Furious 6 hasn't even been released yet, and already, the Tuna Crust Gang are gearing up for number seven and what Diesel confirms will be the ‘biggest one of all'. It'll hit cinemas on 11 July 2014.
The announcement was made at the Las Vegas CinemaCon, with Universal revealing a slate of new films in development, the biggest of which was FF7. It'll be directed by a chap called James Wan, director of the horror films Saw and Insidious, leading TopGear.com to the only possible conclusion: Diesel and co's modified cars will go on a murderous and particularly gory rampage on any car that hasn't been tuned to within an inch of its life.
Behind the scenes on Fast & Furious 6
We'll bring you news on the cars of Fast & Furious 7 as soon as we hear, but we know one person will be particularly interested: John Hennessey. When we spoke to car coordinator Dennis McCarthy last month about FF6, he did say he wanted to get a Venom GT for FF7. And with Bugatti's SS reclaiming the fastest production car crown, the little, twin-turbo V8-powered GT might want to spread its wings a bit...
Let us know below what cars should be in the next movie, have a click here for what cars are in the current movie, and watch the stupendously crashy trailer for Fast & Furious 6 below.
