It’s Dodge Charger vs Chevrolet Impala in the official Fast X trailer

There’s some proper old school street racing in the trailer for the tenth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise, with Jason Momoa’s new villain Dante in a Chevrolet Impala going head-to-head with Dominic Toretto in his classic Dodge Charger. Ride or die is back, folks.

That being said, there is also plenty of the more new-school Furious action in Fast X, with scenes including a bus being split in half by a giant rolling mine, a group of Carabinieri Alfa Romeo 159s being taken out by a mystery gust of wind and Toretto jumping his Charger out of a plane onto two mystery SUVs that are being trailed by a pair of very villainous E32 BMW 7 Series’. Standard.

So yes, it doesn’t look like the format will change too much for this penultimate film in the saga, but that chase between the gold Lamborghini Gallardo and the 1970s Alfa coupe on the streets of Rome looks quite excellent.

Fast X hits cinemas on 19 May this year, so we’ve not long to wait to see all of that bonkers action unfold. Watch the trailer here.
