First clips from ‘Turbo’ film

Some actual scenes from upcoming animated lark about a snail that wants to race

Published: 20 Jun 2013

Only from the makers of a film where New York Zoo animals go on a Madagascan adventure, and a Panda turns into Bruce Lee, will you get a movie about a snail that races in the Indianapolis 500. Welcome everyone, to Dreamworks' upcoming film, Turbo.

Of course, it looks utterly adorable, with TG's good friend Ryan Reynolds voicing the main character, alongside chief support from Samuel L Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Paul Giamatti and Michelle Rodriguez (from Fast & Furious fame).

The story goes something like this: our hero is sad because he's not fast. He needs more power in his life. Through an accident, he finds himself being sucked through the engine bay of a 700bhp Camaro and doused in NOS. He comes out the other side. Suddenly, he has more power in his life.

Below are two clips from the film, the first of which shows him practicing his winning speech, the second showing off his new snail friends. Snoop's bit in this is rather humorous.

You'd have to have a heart of stone not to want to watch this film immediately. Right? Right?
